In early 2013, she founded Local-Ventures, an online marketplace for local small business services. In addition to her role as CEO at Local-Ventures, she’s an active member of the Triangle startup community and a regular contributor to startup publications including WRAL Tech Wire and ExitEvent.
Joe Procopio– Founder of Exitevent and contributor to WRAL Techwire
Joe is a serial entrepreneur, and has either founded or worked for ten startups, including his current role as a founding management team member at Automated Insights. As VP of Product, Joe develops the science and the artificial intelligence the powers hundreds of millions of automated and personalized articles per year, and he leads a team of technologists, statisticians, data analysts, and writers.
Prior to joining Automated Insights, Joe founded consulting firm Intrepid Company, which he grew to over $1 million in annual revenue in just three years. Joe also founded and runs the popular startup network and news site ExitEvent, which helps build and strengthen emerging startup communities. Since 1999, he has been writing about the state of technology and startups for national and regional publications.
